Details: Advanced Innovation Camp at Stellar Tech Girls

Support and empower a group of 11-14-year-old girls who will use STEM skills to invent a solution to a real-world problem, build a prototype, and present a business pitch! Volunteers will join on the second day of camp (Tuesday, 7/28) as role models to share their experiences in STEM. Each volunteer will give a five-minute presentation covering their background, STEM experience, and advice for building a future in STEM. Volunteers will then work with each group of campers to discuss their invention ideas and help provide support during the ideation phase. The camp's invention challenge theme will be transportation and civil engineering, so this will give the girls a chance to discuss and brainstorm with real experts in the field! Volunteers will then return on the last day of camp (Friday, 7/31) as the review panel during our final showcase, where each group will provide a "Shark Tank Style" business pitch, sharing their invention and prototype.

Email Claire Steines at csteines@HNTB.com if you are able to volunteer or for additional information.
