WTS Wisconsin: BRT Lunch & Learn

Accelerating Madison: Two Years of BRT Progress & What Comes Next

WTS members and friends gathered on April 8, 2026, at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center in Madison for a WTS Lunch and Learn. Attendees earned 0.5 PDH hours.

In 2026, the East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route (Rapid Route A) will achieve two years of operation, and the North-South BRT (Rapid Route B) will begin final design. City of Madison Planner Liz Callin and AECOM Transit Engineer Michael Schneider provided a recap of what has been accomplished, an update on current progress, and insight on what the future holds for BRT in the Madison area.
